Tyla made her Chanel runway debut in style, attending the fashion house’s Fall 2025 show at Paris Fashion Week in an outfit that paid homage to its legacy.
Not only was it her first Chanel show, but she also carried her first Chanel bag, marking the occasion with a look inspired by the brand’s iconic past.
The “Water” singer gave the classic Chanel skirt suit a modern, body-hugging twist. She wore a strapless bustier with exposed stitching and statement buttons, reminiscent of a 1990s Karl Lagerfeld-era blazer.
Instead of the traditional skirt suit silhouette, she paired the corset with micro-mini bottoms and draped a cropped bolero jacket over her shoulders, mirroring the details of her top.
Her ensemble, complete with graphic gold jewelry and a sleek east-west purse, echoed the vintage styles once worn by supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Claudia Schiffer.
She finished off the look with almond-toe slingbacks, a lariat necklace, and a jagged fringe haircut.
Tyla wasn’t the only star embracing Chanel’s signature aesthetic. Bridgerton star Simone Ashley wore a cropped jacket with a party skirt, while Dakota Fanning channeled a disco-inspired look.
The runway itself reflected the house’s classic codes, featuring tweed ensembles draped in pearls, Lagerfeld-era twin model pairings, and modern takes on the little black dress with sheer overlays.
This show marked the last Chanel collection before Matthieu Blazy takes over as creative director later this year. The former Bottega Veneta designer, who replaced Virginie Viard in 2024, will unveil his first Chanel collection in October 2025. With the brand’s rich archives at his disposal, Tyla’s striking look might just serve as early inspiration.
