The album is a deeply personal tribute to his mother, Jane Balogun, who died in August 2023.

The 16-track album, whose title translates to “I see joy” in Yoruba, is a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.

Of the 16 tracks, 14 were produced by the talented P2J, whose collaboration with Wizkid continues to deliver unmatched sonic experiences.

Announcing the project earlier this year, Wizkid declared, “Best album I ever made!! Now listen! It’s only up from here!”

“Morayo” features an array of collaborations with prominent artists, including Brent Faiyaz on “Piece of My Heart,” Asake on “Bad Girl,” Tiakola on “Après Minuit,” Jazmine Sullivan on “Bad For You,” and Anaïs on “Slow.”

The project also features the previously released hits “Kese (Dance)” and “Piece of My Heart,” which peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart and No. 7 on the World Digital Song Sales chart.
