The Billboard Music Awards has revealed the norminated artists under it’s new Afrobeats categories. The Billboard Music Awards’ organizers recently included nine new categories in the awards list, and some Afrobeats artists have been nominated under these categories. Two out the nine categories are ‘Top Afrobeats Artist,’ and ‘Top Afrobeats Song.’

The artists nominated under the ‘Top Afrobeats Artist’ category are Nigerian award-winning superstars ‘Rema,’ ‘Wizkid,’ ‘Burna Boy,’ ‘Tems,’ and Cameroonian singer Labianca. While the ‘Top Afrobeats Song’ has Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ featuring Selena Gomez, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush,’ Oxlade’s ‘Ku Lo Sa,’ Libianca’s ‘People,’ and Victony’s ‘Soweto’ featuring Rema and Don Toliver. The Award ceremony is scheduled to hold on November 19, 2023.
