Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Adekunle Gold created a buzz on the internet after he announced his plans to his fans. The singer took to his social media account on Monday, June 19, 2023, to announce the title of his upcoming album. The forthcoming album titled ‘Tequila Ever After’ is expected to be released later this year. This will be the superstar’s first project the record label ‘Def Jam.’
Adekunle Gold has released three songs this year already, and he has had his fair share of dominating the charts. The singer dropped a party jam ‘Party No Dey Stop’ as his first single of the year in March, and it’s still an anthem on the streets. The award-winning star took to his newsletter to tell his fans what inspired him to record and name his album. The singer wrote:
“It all started with one shot of tequila. I was in the studio sometime in early 2022, and I was in a terrible mood that day. Then someone offered me tequila. I had tequila for the first time ever, and my mood changed. That feeling is what I decided to carry into all of my studio sessions after that day. I wrote all the songs on my next album with an open mind, energetic spirit, and a happy heart. I’m done being anxious or worried about life. I’m ready to start enjoying and celebrating my wins, ready to start living unapologetically. I have reached my “Tequila Ever After,” and I want you to reach the same.”
The upcoming project will be the singer’s fifth studio album, and we can’t wait to listen to the magic he has created.
