Wizkid’s ‘Come Closer’ certified platinum

Nigerian internationally recognized singer Wizkid has added a new certification to the list of his certifications and it doesn’t come as a surprise. The singer created a buzz online after news of his new achievement hit the internet. The record-breaking artiste’s song ‘Come Closer’ featuring American rapper Drake has now been certified platinum in the United States.

The song earned the certification after selling over one million units in the United States. This is now Wizkid’s third song to be certified platinum, and the second as a lead artist. The other songs to be certified platinum are’Brown Skin Girl’ and ‘Essence’ featuring Tems. ‘Come Closer’ was released in 2017, and it has proven to be a classic.
