Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ ascends on Billboard Global 200

The smashing hit song by Nigerian new school rave Rema has soared on the Billboard Global 200 as it is now among the Top Ten songs on the chart. The chart dated November 26, 2022, shows ‘Calm Down’ in the number five position. The song which was previously in the 17th position moved up 12 places to debut at number five on the chart. This also extends the ‘Calm Down’s’ run on the chart to 20 weeks.

The song’s ascension has alluded to the fact that American pop star Selena Gomez got featured on the remix. The remix was a big deal in the Afrobeats industry, and the remix introduced Rema to a new audience. The talented singer also announced at his UK show that the hit song ‘Calm Down’ has surpassed a billion streams across all music streaming platforms.
