Tobi Amusan visits Nigeria after her spectacular win at the Diamond League

Record-holding champion Tobi Amusan visited Nigeria after she won her most recent championship. The sprinter won the 100m hurdles at the Diamond League final in Zurich, on September 8, 2022. Amusan finished the race in 12.29s to break a 22-year meeting record. The record holder added the golden feat to her other titles won this year, which are the gold medals won at the World Athletics Championship in Oregon and the 2022 Commonwealth games in the United Kingdom.

The world record holder has been a good ambassador for her country Nigeria and she paid a visit to her country of origin on September 13, 2022. Amusan was warmly welcomed by fans and was also hosted by the president at the State house in Abuja. She was decorated with a National Honor by President Muhammadu Buhari as Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
