Minister of Education of Madagascar, Minister Rijasoa Andiamanana has been fired by President Andry Rajoelina for planning to spend the country’s $2.2 million for the purchase of candy for school children, amid coronavirus outbreak.

The Minister in his statement noted that candy and lollipops will bring ease to children who are to take the country’s purported cure of the CoronaVirus, the covid organic tea which has a bitter taste as three candies will be made available to each child.

The country of Madagascar has been left with over 75 percent of citizens living below the global poverty line and many fighting to cope with the burden caused by the lockdown and this amount is Worth to add to the country’s economy.
